Marigold is a bright, curious, eleven year old.? Her school is involved with local community issues. ? The latest effort is to encourage children to befriend ? elderly people especially during holidays,? because this is their loneliest time.? Marigold always found the house on the canal very ? mysterious-looking, but plucked up her courage to knock on the door ? and met Mrs Fawcett, who becomes her friend.?
